ZEDS DEAD TEAMS UP WITH DIPLO AND ELLIPHANT FOR NEW SINGLE

Bass music champions Zeds Dead have made some major announcements this week. From revealing more details about their debut album Northern Lights and subsequent tour, the duo continues to splash all over the news with what might be one of the biggest collaborations of the year for electronic dance music.

Zeds Dead members DC and Hooks have teamed up with Jack Ü, Major Lazer, and Mad Decent label boss Diploand singer, songwriter, and rapper Elliphant on a new monster tune titled “Blame.” In Zeds Dead style, the new song utilizes the duo’s signature drums and basslines and combines them with Elliphant’s lyrics of struggle and youth and Diplo’s polishing touch. Much like Zeds Dead’s most memorable bangers, the drops in “Blame” detonate a vicious and elegant soundscape forging a love child between dubstep and future bass that is as captivating as it is danceable. In layman terms, this track is one of the best releases of the month (if not the summer).

The last time fans had a track from the Canadian duo was with the ominous track “Back Home” featuring Freddie Gibbs and their remix to “Red Light, Green Light” with long time Zeds Dead collaborator, rapper, and friend Omar Lynx. But with the prospect of a new album that will feature artists including Pusha T, Twin Shadow, RiversCuomo (of Weezer fame), Jadakiss, and Styles P, the hype train is boarding passengers on a one way ticket to bass-laced paradise.

Check out the single “Blame” from Zeds Dead and Diplo featuring Elliphant out tomorrow on digital retail on their label Deadbeats. Also make sure to let us know what you think of it and about the news of their new album and tour.
